Last year’s First Annual Chili Cook-off was standing room only! A huge THANK YOU to BBW volunteers Nick and Dalissia Grothe for not only coming up with the idea but managing the entire event from start to finish! With over 400 participants, 27 chili entries, raffle and even a booth for canine chili – the event raised over $4,700 for hurricane relief for our friends in Haiti. In addition to hosting and throwing the best party ever, Dalissia was diagnosed with HELLP and delivered their 29 week old baby girl (Avayah), just 11 days before the event. We are happy to report that little Avayah is doing well and getting stronger every day. Our BBW team is so amazed at the loving, giving hearts of our volunteers.
Nick and Dalissia – you are the salt of the earth and we are blessed to have you on our team!
